The English Tea Party was founded in 2006...

...one cold and damp November evening, sat at the kitchen table, glass of wine in one hand and notebook in the other. After raiding my mother’s private antique collection of teacups and saucers to use at my own wedding earlier that year and having received numerous comments on how unique and beautiful they were and several requests to ‘borrow’ them – the idea hit me!

After spending my twenties working in London and abroad in Marketing and Advertising, I felt it was time to relocate back to Devon with my young family. My personal love of all things vintage and that ‘Country Living’ style, stemmed from my parents love of antiques and being dragged around antique fairs and auctions as a child.

As a busy working mum of two young children...

...The English Tea Party allows me to develop a business which I love and allows us to help create beautiful, unique and vintage-ly fabulous events for all our clients.

To date The English Tea Party has supplied over 500 events with our vintage china and vintage inspired accessories hire, for weddings, tea parties, birthday parties, corporate events and product launches.

“The English Tea Party is quintessentially English Vintage; we are all about elegance, indulgence and style and we take pride in helping you achieve this for your wedding, party or corporate event, but above all, we love what we do and hope you do too!”
